Rosalía

Graphic Designer

I studied Industrial Design in Argentina, although I also consider myself a graphic designer by vocation. I came to Barcelona in 2009. I love this city and all the possibilities it offers. I am dyslexic and very happy to be so. I believe that this makes me see the world in a different way and that is really helpful for my creative work.
I like nature and especially animals. I am devoted to my two dogs: Lola and Dino. I like walking in the rain in summer, I eat a lot of vegetables and I try to be a vegetarian from time to time (I will succeed one day!)

After studying Translation and Interpretation, I decided to spend my life doing what I like most: travelling, languages, cultures, food from all over the world, and for now I am managing to do this.
A witch by birth, I have a special gift of enchanting people and connecting with them. I am passionate about everything artistic: singing, dancing, acting (I love musicals!) At the moment, my next challenges are living in different countries and finally getting a dog (I currently have a crochet cactus, baby steps).

I wanted to be paid for travelling so I studied Tourism at the University of Alcalá.
I like the snow in winter and terraces in summer. I also enjoy concerts, trips away, surprises and being a couch potato on Sundays.
I think I'm still talkative but I've relaxed a lot, before I was a real chatterbox!

I studied translation and interpretation at Alicante and then did a distance master’s with the UAB. I have an inquiring mind and I can’t contemplate a life without continuously learning something new, either through courses or master’s, or teaching myself. I love auteur cinema, Japanese literature, and everything to do with Japan. I adore tea, photography and travelling, but I hate the social networks and you will find me on almost none of them. I hate large groups of people and crowds, and I always try to avoid Fallas (the traditional Spanish festival held in Valencia). My biggest weakness is those little adorable balls of fur that other people call dogs. When I see one in the street I find it hard to stop myself from stroking it (I can't always stop myself).

I studied English at the University of Valladolid. I then discovered that translation was what I really liked doing so, after several stops abroad, I ended up doing a Master’s in Translation.
I inherited a desire to discover new places and have new experiences from my parents, and I have to say that, although I don’t have the best sense of direction, I find that getting lost always leads to finding the most special places. I enjoy dining out with good company and I am
an expert in choosing bad films at the cinema. I am a real lover of cats, different colours of nail varnish and chocolate muffins, but without a doubt, what I would love the most is for my dishes to come out looking like they do in the recipe book.

I studied Translation and Interpretation at Pompeu Fabra University. I then took a related postgraduate course and later the Applied Linguistics degree, at the same university.
I am passionate about languages, travelling and the mountains. You will rarely find me at home at the weekend.
I adore my dogs, Lola and Dino, who I take out running with me almost every day. I'm the boss, be careful with me, I can bark.

Italian with a Spanish soul since I can remember. I graduated in Translation and Interpreting in Milan and I continued studying a Master in Translation and New Technologies at the ISTRAD University of Sevilla. Languages, combined with technology, are my passion, my essence of life, and together with translation they have opened the way for me in the world and at work. Another of my passions are traveling, good food, books, music and my kitten Ámbar. I live in Malaga, but I would like to live in the world, inside a campervan, of course! This is my big dream in the trunk (well, one of the most ambitious ones), and meanwhile I always enjoy every person and possibility that comes my way.

Web and app development

I studied Translation and Interpretation at the Pompeu Fabra University, and after graduating I did a Master’s in Specialised German-Spanish Translation at the Menéndez Pelayo International University.

I love the German language, which I speak every day, and I also love sport. I consider myself a home-bird, though I also really enjoy a good film at the cinema or a long conversation with friends while walking in the mountains.
I have always been curious about how the human body works, so it is not uncommon to find me reading books or watching documentaries on immunology or genetics! I’m just missing the lab coat!

I have loved languages and foreign cultures since I was a child and after a summer exchange spent in the United Kingdom, I decided that I wanted to be part of the world of languages.
I studied Translation and Interpreting at the University of Malaga and after graduating I took a Master’s degree in Audiovisual Translation at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. When I finished, I thought I would end up doing translations for the dubbing of The Simpsons, but then I thought; “I could have all the money in the world, but there is something I can never buy ... A dinosaur”.
I love travelling, although in my free time you are most likely to find me watching a series or a film, practising my singing or playing the guitar. I have been playing since I was sixteen and I taught myself. I fancied having a go after watching a Disney film. Can you guess which one? 😊

Hola!

When I was a child, I dreamed about winning an Olympic gold medal in swimming, but as life would have it, I had to stop swimming in water and start immersing myself in books instead. I studied Translation and Interpreting at the Pompeu Fabra University and then did a Master's degree in Audiovisual Translation. I am passionate about literature and writing, as well as learning languages, and one of my weaknesses is watching Españoles por el mundo, a TV programme about Spanish people living around the world, until the early hours. I really love autumn and not just because my birthday is in October (which helps!). I also love the rain, the storms and the feeling of pulling on a sweatshirt after a long, hot summer. I never say no to a coffee with my friends, to hiking in the mountains or to preparing for a trip because, as the song says “coming home is always the best part of the adventure”.

When I was at school, from a very young age I loved English and as I grew up I realised that I was also passionate about learning other languages so I took a degree in Translation and Interpreting at the Complutense University and went to the United Kingdom every summer to work.
When I finished my degree my ambition was to become an interpreter at the UN, but before I had the chance I discovered project management and since then I have loved my job!
I am active person and always need to be doing something (although I never say “no” to an afternoon on the couch watching Netflix :). My other passions include cooking, travelling and discovering new cultures and trying new types of food. At the moment, the furthest I have been is Vietnam and that trip really changed me as a person.
Now I am thinking about my next adventure!

After graduating with a degree in Modern Languages and Translation from the University of Alcalá I decided to take a Master’s in Audiovisual Translation at ISTRAD. I can spend hours watching series, preferably comedies or thrillers. You will always find me lost in the pages of a good book, normally fantasy, and I never miss the opportunity to go to a concert. I love travelling and baking. I you can't find me, look for me on the beaches and in the mountains to the north.

I studied Sworn Translation in English in Argentina and after taking many courses in different areas I decided to specialise in the audiovisual field and travelled to Seville to take a Master’s in Audiovisual Translation given by ISTRAD.
I like to read, listen to all kinds of music and sing out loud when I am in the car. I love travelling, chatting to friends and Sunday morning breakfasts. I enjoy the little things in life and I am convinced that everything is better if we share it with our loved ones.

Communication

Journalist and community manager, passionate about communication in all its aspects, although I must confess, I really love working with cameras and video cameras. I am a real ‘all-terrain journalist’, I do everything. I love salsa dancing, swimming and I cycle everywhere, and for a few years now my mobile phone has become an extra limb for my body. I love being given plants to put on my terrace, although it also makes me sad when people do that as I they know that they won't last more than a week; I usually forget to water them, which makes even the most resistant plants like cacti wilt quickly.

I studied Translation and Interpreting at the University of Granada with the dream of one day becoming an interpreter at the UN. Later, I discovered that I preferred audiovisual translation, so I did an MA in it.
I have spent my entire life on an athletics track and I have no intention of leaving it behind. As a language lover, travelling and discovering new cultures really appeals to me. I also adore cooking, watching TV series in their original version and having fun with friends. I’m up for doing almost anything, no matter how out of the blue or strange it may be, although if I had to choose one thing, it would be to walk in the mountains, as I feel terribly homesick for my native Galicia.

Administration

As a child growing up I always wanted to be a singer, but thankfully reality prevailed. (My father used to tell me that I sang out of tune really well, but I was never really convinced by this assertion ). So I had to make a living in other ways including admin work... until I ended up at Okodia, where I found a mixture of work and my passion: languages.
In my free time I like walking, reading, going to the cinema, listening to music... and Iearning to play the guitar is still on my ‘to do’ list! Travelling, for me, is almost a necessity. In fact, I think it should be mandatory, at least one trip per year on medical prescription!
I have a good sense of humour (dampened only by injustices and rainy days) and a bit of a clownish streak. I don’t like being alone: in fact, quite the opposite. I enjoy being with others, alleviating worries and spreading happiness amongst family and friends.

After graduating in English Studies from the University of Seville, I decided to give teaching Spanish as a foreign language a try. I did an MA at the Pablo de Olavide University and my teacher training placement took me to Italy (where I have been ever since). It wasn’t until a year later that I was bitten by the translation bug and so I decided to study the MA in Legal and Economics Translation at ISTRAD.
I love learning languages and using them to travel around the world. When the weather's good I like to go for a walk and discover new places, and on rainy days there’s nothing better than a film, a blanket and popcorn at home. In my free time I like to paint, draw and learn new things. One of my most recent hobbies is sewing: I just always have to be doing something!

After having always had a bilingual education, I thought it would be strange not to continue being surrounded by languages and so I decided to study Translation and Intercultural Communication at the San Jorge University in Zaragoza.
I like to keep busy so I’m always involved in some type of project. I also take every chance I can to travel, but to relax and disconnect I really like watching TV series, reading, drawing or writing, although I also enjoy playing all kinds of sport. Everything I do, I do it with music in the background and coffee in my veins!

I was born in Córdoba, Argentina, where I studied and trained as an English translator. I began my professional career in Argentina and later decided to continue my studies in Seville, Spain, where I did an MA in Audiovisual Translation.
Since being a child, I have been very interested in and passionate about travelling and getting to know new people and cultures. I am always looking for my next destination, to take me out of my comfort zone. I love challenges.
I consider myself a film buff and love watching all types of film and series: I just can’t get enough of them! For me, nothing beats Netflix and chill, although I also really enjoy a good book and good meal, and even better if it’s in good company!

I speak 5 languages and am interested in Asian culture, especially Korean and pop culture (Marvel, DC, series, etc.). I like cooking and my latest hobby is decorating furniture.
After graduating in Translation from the University of Alicante and qualifying as a Sworn Translator in French in 2014, I worked for various companies in Spain.
Two months before the pandemic, I decided to go to Prague to embark on a new adventure in a multinational company working in Human Resources. After a while, I managed to return to Spain in the same company.
However, I realised that what I really wanted was a job that would permit me to continue growing in the human resources field whilst also working remotely. And here I am, delighted to be part of the Okodia family.
